Comvita Medihoney Antibacterial Medical Honey is a sterile product containing 100% Medical Grade Honey. All of the products in the Comvita Medihoney range contain Medihoney Antibacterial Honey, which is a standardised medical grade of antibacterial honey collected predominantly from Leptospermum sp. (including Manuka).

Product Description

Comvita Medihoney Antibacterial Medical Honey cleans, protects and heals wounds. It naturally cleans the wound of bacteria, dead tissue, dirt and debris by drawing it into the dressing. It protects by reducing the risk of infection and it heals by creating a moist, low pH environment that promotes wound healing. New tissue is protected from painful damage when the dressing is changed. Comvita Medihoney Antibacterial Medical Honey is suitable for use on surgical wounds, burns and leg and foot ulcers. Comvita Medihoney Antibacterial Medical Honey can also be used for general first-aid on cuts and grazes and can be used in all stages of wound healing.

The earliest record of therapeutic honey use dates as far back as 2000 B.C. Honey has been used as a healing substance throughout history by the ancient Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Hindu and Chinese cultures.

Directions For Use

Apply a generous quantity of Comvita Medihoney Antibacterial Medical Honey directly onto the wound or an appropriate dressing.
